Today was a relatively good day.
Had asthma inhaler technique counselling (FINALLY!) The Pulmicort turbuhaler looks quite cool to use. Unlike a normal Salbutamol inhaler, it allows you to suck in the dose at your own time. The inhaler requires you to co-ordinate between releasing the mist and inhaling at the correct time. But the thing with the turbuhaler is that it has such a low dose hence it does not have any taste, so you really have to breathe in forcefully, as I think the package insert mentioned it is airflow driven.
Learnt how to print label but did not manage to capture prescription. Will do it by this week!
Quizzed about anti-hypertensives which I looked up and learnt about anti-diabetic drugs too. Seriously, the learning something new a day is really what keeps me going in this job which packing, sticking label and stocking up can get feet-hurting, neck-cricking, unbearably routine.
For lunch (alone again) but discovered a really nice chicken rice stall just opposite sumo house among the malay stalls, this stall is chinese owned though, chicken rice at only $2.50! Comparable to ginza! Imagine my joy, good food at a low price, ain't easy to survive with $5 a day you know.
Clocked off at 5pm, then met Jol for dinner at Thai Express, Raffles City. Another good meal =)
And... to top it off, I listened to the most ridiculous and hilarious story which can only happen to one person (X). So X was cleaning her blankets and pillows in the washing machine, and when X went down to take it out, X found out that the machine has fallen over! And X can't bloody well take her laundry out! And at the same time, water was leaking out. X tried and tried but it was so freaking heavy til X was about to give up and finally with a last heave, it came upright! I haven't laughed so hard since don't know when. Thanks X for the story =)
Shall do my retail assignment... maybe after Desperate Housewives =p
