May 30, Wed
another early wake up call day for us..luckily this time we had a cheerier bus driver who checked names of the passengers he picked up unlike the previous one who ferried us to the godforsaken bravo headquarters. for the former, WE had to approach him to ask him if he was our bus driver! bloody lazy ass chain smoker
so anyhow merrily we went along with the new jovial bus driver until we reached the Bravo HQ and as expected, mayhem ensued again. the whole place was so disorganised with three buses of passengers having to switch here and there, prob more than an hour's delay that couldve been spent sleeping in. pah!
again, the cheena tour guide didn't check in well with us.
the journey was pretty uneventful since it was a looong ride to san francisco with little to do in between, except when we reached yosemite national park in the afternoon.
past a tunnel, there emerged the lookout point

a glorious portrait of mountains, evergreens and majestic falls

pity the sky was a bit cloudy but mum said this looks like a studio shot, haha

another family pic!

the lower falls of yosemite

squirrel by the river

indicating how tall the trees are compared to the pint sized sisters

woodpecker? looks like a face in the bark
then on the way back, all set to go to san francisco, the bus trundled to a halt by the roadside!

there's an ex car repairman on the bus, but he can't help much except diagnose the problem

some rock broke some pipe and some brake fluid leaked out. im no mechanic, all i know is i dun wanna hurtle down some gorge. and i want someone to come fix the bloody bus!
there were a few cars who passed us by, and i wanted to curse at the people who just slowed down, looked and drove away, we're not some bloody zoo animals!
the bus stopped at this curve by the road, which is kinda an extra patch from the main road, if u know what i mean, like for the lookout point, and those bloody kaypoh people actually drove onto that curve to look at us! luckily for every kaypoh person there were kind samaritans too.

everyone was glad to see the park ranger.
Initially we were told that the company had sent a bus from san fran to come take us, the journey there is 4 hours! and then later some mechanic came to fix the bus but couldn't do it so went off somewhere to get more equipment, then came the notification that the company is NOT sending a bus, this is 2 hours after the bus broke down, instead, when we get down from the mountain, then only will they send a bus to get us. ridiculous right?? luckily the mechanic managed to get it done and we were on our way after squandering 2 and a half hours, we arrived at our hotel past 1am! tiring day
