hmm.. Rowan Atkinson in dark comedy... I'm glad to announce there's no slapstick of any kind here. Throw in an effortlessly menacing yet with good intentions Maggie Smith, and you have a winner! Apart from the wonky soundtrack which is typical of Sunway TGV cinemas, the movie had me in stitches and silent giggles. Keeping Mum is the kind of movie that will make you laugh at killing people. And I don't mean it in an unintentionally -funny-slasher-flick-inaneness-laughing-at-stupid-victims way. Its totally irreverent, it even suggests that the bible is full of sex! Eg: Song of Solomon. Click here to read the full version, I only copied some that's mentioned in the movie.Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wineThy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of goldA bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breastsBehold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyesStay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the liliesok now that i've read the entire song, it's totally not what i was led to believe in the movie. but it was entertaining still. loved the macabre ending.Rating: 4/5
