Title : Una Voce
Time : 5:13 pm
Earworm: Dancing in the moonlight ~~Toploaderhad rehearsal for college day in the audi yesterday. only guitar the earliest performing group assembled there. yet very unappreciated. the teachers asked us to keep quiet too during their rehearsal which is rather in shambles. everything so messy. backstage crew especially very irritating cannot get number of chairs right. after rehearsal *hoped* that we'll get let off early by not by any chance according to the prez' rules. gah... choir concert starts at 8pm! wanna get good seats. oh the day before TT ed just asked me to write an article for the school mag. ha.. like suddenly im in TT again, rmb last time chief reporter told me oh im sure you wouldnt want year twos to write articles right? did i say that? anyway, agreed coz i like writing, not coz im doing any favours. we're let off about 6.30pm, pinched food from library buffet in canteen. went to bedok to buy flowers for mar's choir pals. brit commented so cheap wrapped in newspaper. but hey, its the thought that counts, girl. somehow dawdled til its like 7 plus when we wanna get onto a cab. the queue at bedok interchange was quite long so we went opposite the road and almost immediately got one. with the cab driver complaining all highways jammed, we prayed we'll get there b4 7.45pm. got there. but the doors still not open. very stuffy, the turnout was good. can see many ppl from other jcs and sec schools. we also in school uniform coz someone lazy to change and someone was in dreamland. saw the bouquet YY bought for izzati.. sooo beautiful.. white roses wrapped in soft purple gauze paper. the three of us managed to get a good seat. not long after 8pm, the choir opened with a sweet, soothing song, followed up by two fast paced Christian-themed songs, didnt really like the year two pieces unfortunately. the 2nd song they performed was better tho, a melancholic She's like a swallow wonder why the choir seems to do lotsa religious/spiritual songs. and a bit lacking in expressions lah.. save for one cute junior =p but just before the intermission they performed their SYF piece Bin-nam-ma which totally blew me away. it was powerful, engaging, dynamic, simply fantastic! some of the actions were a bit comical tho. =p but WHY didn't they get gold with honours??? after that was the alumni. loved their songs, had a light airy feel to them. and beatboxing by Charles. then came the musicals medley (West Side Story, Miss Saigon and Phantom of the Opera, vocals not all that impressive but still entertaining nonetheless... i liked 'tonight' from west side story. a song full of hope. it was their encore piece too. so ended the concert, and rushed to give Iz her flowers with YY, but she also busy giving out her own flowers lol. since the whole world was waiting for me and mar, we hurried out of the hall and went round being lost looking for the mrt station. then decided to eat at newton circus but being a buncha directionless fools went away from newton Mrt and realised there's no food place to be seen so walked back to where we came and there it was! just outside the station. doh. was around 11pm when we finally got our meal. shared stingray with mar, fc, kl. mel had oyster omelette with mar. the guys had stingray and murtabak and satay. i had some desserts too--think it was sea coconut and longan. past midnite when we arrived back at hostel in cab and stinking of satay fumes =/
