    Title : B-ball champs!

    the inter-JC basketball boys finals (Temasek Junior College vs Hwa Chong Institution) was rather overhyped by the school (they put much less emphasis on badminton which both boys and girls made it into the semi-finals) like it was made compulsory for the whole school to support basketball while only 3 classes were selected to go for badminton. also with all the speeches about its been 20 years since TJC last got the trophy, 15 years since we last entered the finals...
    buses arrived at 2.15pm, but how to accommodate the huge swarm of students? impossibly squeezy, the whole thing was totally disorganised and left many disgruntled students making their own way there by public transport. only managed to get on after 3pm. missed the 1st quarter and got there a few minutes into the 2nd quarter.
    nonetheless, it was still an exciting match. when we arrived, TJ had a huge lead but HC quickly caught up and overtook us. didnt realise that the 3rd quarter was in session, thought it was the final one. and TJ was down by one point! so i was screaming for them to score one last basket but realise my fears were in vain hahahaha... the clock was set to 10 mins again.
    was a gruelling match. had TJ cheers.. let's go TJ, let's go! T..T..T..T..JJJJ!!! was kept on the edge coz TJ kept missing the free throws but in the final minutes, ronnie suddenly was on a scoring streak. scored a 3 pointer and was on a roll since then. final score 73-65.. we won!! i was part of a historic event!! haha.
    but a bit of a dampener had to rush back for practise with mr. liaow by 5.15pm. took the first bus back with a lot of year one Student Councillors who were bursting with mad energy, singing crazy cheers and the school anthem, was a tad reminded of the SYF day..
    after practice, about 9.30pm.. went out to suki sushi with mel,mar and brit. was near closing time already and the conveyor belt of sushi stopped working soon after we placed our orders. sad. didnt really like my chicken katsu don. bored everyone by making them wait for me to finish and taking painstakingly slow bites. brit timed 7 mins for 5 bites. left a lot of rice behind. by the time reached hostel was tired out.
